"But tell me, where do the children play?"
A short walk from a friend's house, in a reasonably affluent area of West London is this train overpass. Surrounded by houses occupied by families with young children I couldn't help but notice the; monkey bars, stairs up the slippery slide, merry-go-round and lovely well maintained playing field. Maybe we should have listened more closely to Cat?

"The children play there, and then they play here.
When the children play there, they play without fear.
Slides and roundabouts and colourful swings;
such a wonderful, innocent child's play thing.
But when they get older they seem to play here.
Overpasses, tunnels and well used train rails;
and in these situations, 'there' seems to fail.
The innocent children that played there then?,
have congregated socially to a Why and a When?
But we can help greatly to move them apart -
put the 'there'in an area to give them a head start.

That is a really great poem and it cuts to the heart of what I wanted the image to say. Thank you.
