One Chance in the Blink of an Eye
This is a picture of Kendo, a traditional Japanese martial sport that is based on the sword.

My intention was to take a close-up action shot, that would show not only the stillness of the attacker's mind, but also the movement of his bamboo sword.

The difficulty, besides the obvious of trying to capture the exact timing of a strike to the head in this fast-paced sport, was to also make sure the attacker's eyes were visible and in focus behind the bars of the face mask in the final image.
